Amy Syres and Jenn Schenk
God placed these two young ladies in our lives at a time when Milonia was very sick in the hospital. They truly went the "second mile" to help Milonia out that day, living up to the name of their organization in Haiti: Second Mile Ministries. Amy (on the left) is a nurse and knows all about Type 1 Diabetes and how to treat Milonia. Jenn has a degree in Business and runs their operation. They are two hard working women with a vision to help Haiti one person at a time.
Jude
The young man on the left is Jude. He is 20 years old and lives close to Milonia's family in Petite Anse. He is a strong, faithful, Christian young man. He has been visiting her family for the last 2 years regularly. He updates us on how Milonia is doing, translates for us while we are in Haiti, helps Milonia get to the hospital, and helps in any other way he can.
